Egypt given 1562 passengers daily quota as compared to 768 for India

The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation has set a daily quota of 1,562 passengers for Egypt on resumption of direct flights between Egypt and Kuwait.

The Al-Rai newspaper said the daily quota is to be divided equally between the Egyptian (EgyptAir) and Kuwaiti airlines (Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways).

Al-Rai learned from informed sources that the daily quota for arrivals from India was set at 5378 per week, equivalent to about 768 per day, divided between Kuwaiti and Indian carriers.

The daily quota for arrivals from Egypt was also set at 1,562 passengers, half of which is 781 for national carriers (457 for Kuwait Airways and 324 for “Jazeera Airways”), and the other half for air carriers affiliated with Egyptian companies, bringing the weekly total to 10,934 passengers per week.
