The Ministry of Education had temporarily suspended the procedures for hiring Kuwaiti and expatriate teachers, saying this activity will resume at the beginning of the second semester, specifically on January 29.
The sources indicated that the public education sector has informed its administrative counterpart of the suspension, “as the last date for appointment in the first semester for expat teachers was on Thursday, September 8, and for Kuwaitis, December 15.”
The sources explained this was due to the approaching spring break and the closure of schools during this period. The second semester for the government schools will resume on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
