Government schools were affected by the recent rainfall as water accumulated in the school compounds, which led the Ministry of Education to appeal to the Ministry of Works for help.
Well-informed educational sources told a local Arabic daily, that the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Faisal Al-Maqsed, contacted the Ministry of Works to suck the water from school compounds and the work was completed by Saturday to ensure schools are ready to receive the students Sunday.
