Dubai was recently distinguished for its first place as the best global tourist destination on list of the Travelers’ Choice Awards 2023 for the second year in a row, from the largest travel platform in the world, “Trip Advisor”.
It has also succeeded in proving its ability to be the preferred destination for exhibition organizers, corporate conferences and mega global events, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Ahmed Al-Marri, Director of International Operations for the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council Region at the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, said that Dubai pays special attention to attracting Kuwaiti and Gulf tourists.
Al-Marri told the daily, on the sidelines of a visit to Dubai as part of a media delegation from the Gulf countries, that it was observed that there is a great return of Kuwaiti tourism to the city of Dubai, according to the latest statistics issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai more 259 thousand Kuwaiti tourists visited Dubai during 2022.
He also pointed out that there is joint and mutual cooperation with tourism companies and Kuwaiti aviation, adding: “We work permanently with Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways to develop tourism in Dubai, and this cooperation turns into integrated partnerships with Kuwait.”
He stated that Kuwait enjoys a privileged location within the Gulf States region, and is one of the highest performing tourism markets within Dubai, indicating that the tourism system in Dubai is constantly evolving, as there are new and advanced hotels that offer special facilities to Kuwaiti and Gulf travelers throughout the year.
