A fugitive accused of drug trafficking has been detained in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia , the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said on Friday.
The man, wanted on charges of trafficking 18 kilograms of hashish into Kuwait for trading, was apprehended in Riyadh as a result of coordination between the Kuwaiti General Department for Drug Control and Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
Kuwaiti authorities are currently coordinating with the Saudi authorities for handover of the fugitive, with pending legal procedures against him. The MoI expressed gratitude to the Saudi Authorities for their rapid response in all drugs related cases.
