The Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General Fire Department said after a report was received by its Operations Room, Monday evening about the collision on the King Fahd Expressway opposite Sabahiya, firemen from the Mangaf fire center rushed to the site and rescued the half lorry driver who was stuck inside after the vehicle crashed into a tree trunk on the side of the road.
The Al-Rai daily said the rescue team used hydraulic equipment to free the driver. The man, who suffered several fractures, was then handed over to the emergency medical personnel and rushed to a nearby hospital
