Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Drug and Food Control Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Badr, announced his resignation for personal reasons.
Al-Badr said in an exclusive statement to Al-Qabas: “I have done what I owe and will leave the space for those who are qualified to complete the march and improve health services, and I will devote myself to my own work.”
Al-Badr announced on his Twitter account that he had submitted his resignation to the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed resigned as of Jan 7, 2022, “in implementation of a decision that was not born of the moment but was taken in advance, and it is a decision related to personal reasons that make it imperative to leave the space for those who are qualified to complete the march that we started in pursuit of improving health services.”
Dr. Al-Badr said, “During my tenure of 4 years I learned a lot of administrative matters and gained experience that exceeded the four years in stages.
He added: “I thank everyone who gave me their trust, especially the political leadership, and after them the former Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, from whom I received all the support, guidance along the way to develop the work, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mustafa Reda, who was like a big brother on whom I depended for experience, advice, and guidance.
He also thanked all those who worked with him and under him.
“I also thank Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed for his keenness to advance the work, and praise for the steps and measures that have been taken in order to achieve the desired reform,” he said.
