Dismantle camps by March 15, fear of scorpions and snakes cited

“There will be no extension of the spring camps season after the blessed month of Ramadan, and the lifting of the tents will begin as of March 15, as stipulated in the Environmental Law issued in 2014.”

This was confirmed by well-informed sources in the Kuwait Municipality to Al-Rai daily, noting that the Deputy Director General for the Affairs of the governorates of Jahra and the Capital, Chairman of the Spring Camps Committee, Engineer Thamer Al-Mutairi, directed all the concerned authorities, during the meeting of the committee that was held Tuesday, the necessity of developing an integrated plan to remove the camps on time in addition to making an inventory of violations, and directing cleaning managers to prepare to clean camping sites.

Meanwhile, the sources warned those frequent the desert areas to take caution against scorpions and desert snakes, especially since this is the time of the year these reptiles tend to come out of their burrows, and this is considered one of the most prominent reasons why the concerned authorities will not extend the camping season.
