The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of Tajikistan, Dr. Zubaidullah Zubaidov, announced the inauguration of the first direct flights from Kuwait to Dushanbe, Tajikistan on the 29th of December. The flight is operated by Jazeera Airways, with two flights per week.
A local daily reported that Zabidov, during a reception held at the embassy, praised the role of the two governments and all relevant authorities in facilitating the procedures for the direct flights. He stressed that direct flights between Kuwait and Tajikistan would benefit the process of strengthening trade, economic and tourism relations between the two countries in particular, and the Gulf countries in general, while noting that Kuwait has become a regional station for Tajik and other Central Asian travelers to go to various cities in the region and the world, through the initiative of Jazeera Airways.
Furthermore, Zabidov is expecting to attract the largest number of tourists from Kuwait and the Gulf countries to Tajikistan, pointing out that Tajikistan has exempted citizens of the Arab Gulf countries since the beginning of January 2022.
