DGDC thwarts attempt to smuggle quarter of a million Captagon pills into Kuwait

Personnel from the Directorate-General for Drugs Control successfully foiled smuggling attempt involving an estimated quarter-million Captagon tablets. These illicit substances were concealed ingeniously within a vehicle by an individual attempting to transport them across a land border entry point.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department the Ministry of Interior Friday underscored that this operation is a testament to the relentless security endeavors undertaken by the criminal security sector, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The statement clarified that both the suspect and the seized contraband are presently being referred to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal actions to be taken. The Ministry emphasized that security personnel will persist in executing pre-emptive strikes against drug dealers and smugglers, adopting a resolute stance against any threat posed to the youth of the nation.

These endeavors encompass heightened vigilance in search and investigation activities, targeting anyone attempting to benefit from the narcotic substances trade in the country. Such measures are aimed at safeguarding the population against the perils of these hazardous substances.
