In exclusive statements to Al-Anba, reliable sources said the Cabinet’s decision to operate direct flights with the six countries — India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal — has been in effect from the day it was issued during the session of the Council of Ministers which was chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled on August 18.
The decision stipulates these countries must adhere to the protocols determined by the Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergencies and assigning the concerned authorities to do what is necessary to implement the decision.
In the meantime the concerned authorities, led by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation, are waiting for the Corona Emergency Committee to be informed of the controls it has put in place to that these controls can be implemented.
