DGCA bans entry of non-Kuwaities at the eleventh hour

In a sudden announcement by the DGCA, all expat passengers are banned from entering Kuwait until further notice, extending the earlier decision under instructions of the health authorities, announced the Civil Aviation, in a tweet on its official handle.

Kuwaiti passengers are allowed to enter but are subject to institutional quarantine in one of the approved local hotels for 7 days, and another 7 days of quarantine at home.

The Civil Aviation announced yesterday evening new measures to start at Kuwait International Airport from Sunday, based on the instructions of the health authorities as a measure against the spread of the Covid 19 virus, especially after the discovery of mutated strains of the Coronavirus.

Earlier in a press release, DGCA said that all passengers arriving via direct flights from high-risk countries would be required to spend a quarantine period at a local hotel for 14 days at their own expense by registering on the Kuwait Mosafer platform.
