Defence minister praises role of ISA

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Hamad Al-Ali, praised the important and vital role played by the employees of the Intelligence and Security Authority (ISA) and the great responsibility they bear on their shoulders to preserve the security and safety of the country.

This came in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, Thursday, following the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to the Intelligence and Security Authority, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant-General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah, and Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Fahd Al-Nasser.

Sheikh Hamad said the members of the Intelligence and Security Authority are the protectors of the homeland, loyal to their oath and aware of the size of the tasks and duties assigned to them.

During his visit, the Minister of Defense conveyed the greetings and appreciation of HH the Amir, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, the Prime Minister.

He called on Intelligence and Security Authority to continue working on raising awareness and educating the employees of the Kuwaiti army about the security procedures and precautions required by the nature of their work, including the preservation of information, data and military correspondence, and the need to adhere to and abide by all circulars issued in this field.

The Minister also visited Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base. He was received by the Assistant Commander of the Air Force, Major-General Pilot Bandar Al-Muzain, and a number of Air Force commanders.
