Dasman Diabetes Institute, founded by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, recently hosted a lecture by Dr. Mohammed Al-Onaizi, an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine in Kuwait University.
Dr. Al-Onaizi presented at the Institute, a research- based scientific lecture titled ‘Elucidating mechanisms underlying cognitive dysfunction in Type 2 diabetes’. This seminar was attended by many healthcare professionals from all over Kuwait.
Dr Onaizi received his PhD from the University of Western Ontario in Canada in Anatomy and Cell Biology in 2016 and joined Kuwait University in 2017. His research interests include determining the consequences of diabetes and aging on neuronal signaling and neurodegeneration.
