Dar Al Salam Group comprising of Indian Central School, Pakistan English School, Aspire Indian International School and Aspire Bilingual School organized the second DAS Cares event, under the CSR Program, through which value of charity is given a central role, encouraging students to grow up with a healthy sense of compassion.

Students were encouraged to contribute unused household items, grocery, stationery, household medical kits and handy gadgets towards the initiative which they distributed to deserving and hardworking community workers.

Around 300 kits were distributed in an event organized on 1st May at the Aspire Auditorium. Mrs. Shirin Kanchwalla, Vice President of Indian Women’s Association graced the occasion with her presence. Mrs. Kanchwalla appreciated the efforts of the Group in providing a noble opportunity for students and our community to come together on one platform under DAS Cares.

The event was attended by Mrs. Stephanie Mathew, CSR and Community Engagement Executive, Hosting Principal of AIIS, Ms. Geetika Ahuja, Principal of ICS, Mrs. Sujata Sivakrishnan and Principal of ABSK, Mrs. Charmaine Graves.

The event commenced with recitation of an invocation prayer by the AIIS Choir. Gratitude cards were placed in each of the kit as an appreciation of the efforts of labours and workers who were part of the beneficiaries. The schools ensured students were involved in every process of the program starting from making contributions, packaging, creating gratitude cards to distribution and organizing the event.

In a separate effort, students of ABSK, on the occasion of Labour Day, greeted construction workers at the Khaitan development site distributing care packages and a deep gratitude appreciating their services.

The initiative received an overwhelming response from the community with efforts made by both students and staff of the schools.
