The Cypriot ambassador, H.E Michael Mavros called on the Kuwaiti businessmen and investors to invest in his country, saying the investment opportunities in Cyprus are promising.
Mavros was speaking during an event held by the embassy, under the title ‘Cyprus…Your Gateway to Europe’, that this event is the first of its kind to introduce the investment opportunities available in Cyprus to Kuwaiti businessmen, while at the same time praising the presence of Kuwaiti businessmen in large numbers to learn about investment opportunities in Cyprus.
He announced that the embassy in Kuwait is fully prepared to assist in providing all information and respond to all inquiries related to investment and related laws.
He stated that His country is part of the European Union, and all financial and legal guarantees for investors are available and secured, and all investments in Cyprus are protected. We have not heard of any problem faced by any investor in the past, given our good investment environment and the great cooperation offered by our people to the guests.
Regarding Kuwaiti government investments in his country, he explained that there are no direct Kuwaiti government investments, and therefore they seek to attract them, but there are some investments from the private sector in the real estate field, as there are a good number of Kuwaitis, who own real estate in Cyprus and encouraged more Kuwaitis to invest in this area.
