Customs seized 2,500 narcotic pills

A local Arabic daily reported that the Customs at Kuwait International Airport managed to seize 2,500 narcotic pills in the possession of an Asian expatriate who tried to hide them amongst his personal belongings.

The customs men at the airport seized another Asian expatriate who tried to smuggle a bag weighing about a kilo containing a suspected powder, in addition to a number of psychotropic pills. He tried to hide the seized items in his personal luggage.

Director of Airports Administration, Osama Al-Shami, stated that the increase in the number of seizures at all airports indicates the awareness of the customs inspectors, and their keenness to perform their work to the fullest extent, extending his thanks and appreciation to them.
