The Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Sulaiman Al-Fahd, has kickstarted the official work on the platform for incoming and outgoing messaging for companies and individuals as a basic channel for automatically sending and receiving correspondence and books.
According to Al Rai Media, the official said that the move came within the framework of the directives of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs, Mazen Al-Nahedh, to maximize the executive strategies of the General Administration of Customs in achieving digital goals, designed in line with the government’s strategy to improve the business environment. He indicated that it was launched as an experiment in 2022 and included the re-engineering of procedures and the configuration of the service.
In the beginning of 2023, the platform was officially activated by the commercial community sectors, and the electronic registration and documentation processes reached more than 1000 companies or individuals. Al-Fahd said that registered entities have started their electronic trading correspondence.
In addition, the platform also allows linking and directing correspondence to the administration sectors, while ensuring the smooth and integrated flow of taking direct actions and dealing with all requests of business partners.
