CSC asks government agencies not to send requests for employment of foreigners

The Civil Service Commission says government agencies must comply with CSC Resolution No. 11 of 2017 about Kuwaitization of jobs and meet the August 26, 2022 deadline, stressing that no request should be sent to the CSC for the appointment of a non-Kuwaiti.

The CSC acted after receiving a number of requests for appointments of non-Kuwaitis from various government institutions, including from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs recently which was subsequently rejected.

In its reply the CSC stressed that any request for the appointment of a non-Kuwaiti that exceeds the percentages specified in the CSC decision is a consequential violation.

The CSC pointed out that the legislator obligated the authorities to reduce the number of non-Kuwaiti employees annually until reaching the percentages of national labor specified in the decision in each job group over a five-year period stressing that the five-year deadline is approaching by the end next August.
