Nearly a million children in Kuwait have been robbed of the most precious moments of life due to the COVID-19 crisis, which restricted them to their homes, away from freedom and carefree life of playgrounds, squares, nurseries or places of entertainment.

Official figures from the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) show that more than 930,600 children in the age range from 1 to 15-year olds were affected by the closure of activities.

According to psychological experts, these months of being cramped indoors in their homes could lead to long-term psychological effects. Parents will need to immunize their children against mental illnesses, just as much as they did to immunize them against the virus that kept them at home.
