His Highness Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday sent a cable to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to congratulate him on being awarded the prestigious US Legion of Merit, Degree Chief Commander, by US President Donald Trump.

He underlined His Highness the Amir’s humanitarian march, which is full of generous initiatives to aid people affected by natural or man-made disasters in every part of the globe, will remain a source of inspiration to the whole world. He also wished Highness the Amir speedy recovery and everlasting wellbeing.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Saturday sent a cable of gratitude in response to His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir said he had received “with appreciation” the congratulations, extended by His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince, on the occasion of his being awarded the Legion of Merit, Degree Chief Commander by US President Donald Trump.
His Highness the Amir went on to express his “deep gratitude” for the warm sentiments and sincere wishes. This high-level honor is a “source of pride for us and the honorable Kuwaiti people,” he added.

Minister of Higher Education Dr. Soud Al-Harbi expressed earlier Saturday his pride on His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah being granted the Legion of Merit, Chief Commander Degree, by US President Donald Trump.

The US president also praised His Highness’ “tireless mediation of disputes in the Middle East.” “It comes in recognition of his (His Highness the Amir) rich legacy in humanitarian work and his prominent role in promoting peace regionally and internationally,” the Kuwaiti minister told KUNA.

Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqeel on Friday congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on a US award granted to him.
