Committee for Amending Demographics begins work

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid announced a number of decisions have been issued related to the work of the Committee for Amending Demographics and Developing the Labor Market during the first meeting which was chaired by him.

Minister Al-Khalid indicated the committee set its sights on addressing imbalances in the demographics and labor market in the State of Kuwait immediately after the start of its work, and that it submitted its recommendations by approving the draft executive regulations of Law 74 of 2020 to organize the demographics and submitting it to the Council of Ministers, in addition to adopting a draft decision regulating the mechanisms for addressing the imbalance regarding the demographic composition and also submitting it to the Council of Ministers, directing the concerned authorities to take urgent measures to amend this composition and address the imbalance, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The committee also viewed visual presentation presented by the President of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies regarding Kuwaitization of cooperative work, encouraging national manpower to work in cooperative societies, and discussing ways to develop services by relying on national cadres for being the closest to understanding the needs and needs of Kuwaiti society.

The sources revealed the Demographics Committee stressed on the acceleration of the Kuwaitization plan, indicating that Kuwait is about to activate a special smart application bearing the name “Kuwait visa” aimed at organizing entry visas and verifying the validity of all procedures that precede the entry of workers and visitors to Kuwait.
