Commerce Ministry slaps ban on military clothing and accessories

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has confirmed the ban on importing, exporting, displaying, selling and marketing ready-made garments similar to military uniforms of all kinds used inside the State of Kuwait.

In an awareness tweet as part of its ‘Participate in Monitoring’ campaign, the Ministry of Commerce clarified that it is also forbidden to deal similar accessories, such as military ranks, decorations, epaulets, hats, badges and distinctive signs of military forces, reports a local Arabic daily.

The sources added that it is forbidden for shops to manufacture and supply these clothes and goods without a written permission from the competent authorities.
