Reports indicate that Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Public Authority for Manpower, are meeting next week to draw up a plan to launch a massive clean-up operation in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
The cleanup could include the closing down of violating stores, evicting bachelors from private residential areas and fining homeowners who lease houses to bachelors in these areas, as well as issue citations and impose penalties on owners of buildings without proper safety equipment and conditions. The plan is to remove all violations by mid-November
In addition to the fines and closure of illegal stores, the plan calls for canceling the residency visas of those working in said stores and deporting them. The plan is intended to evict all bachelors for private residential areas, where they have been posing a social and security threat.
