The General Department of Criminal Investigation, through the Jahra Governorate Investigation Department, has successfully apprehended a duo engaged in the theft of electrical cables with the intent of selling them for financial gain.
According to the Security Media Department, a team was assembled from the Sulaibiya Investigation Office, which was dispatched to the Amghara region, the suspected location of the criminal duo, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, when the duo was intercepted they attempted to flee on foot, but were chased and arrested.
During the subsequent interrogation, the defendants openly admitted to their involvement in the theft of electrical poles, cutting electrical cables, and selling the stolen items for profit. They also confessed to numerous similar thefts committed across different regions of Kuwait.
They cooperatively disclosed the locations of the stolen items, revealing that these items were connected to ten unresolved cases. Both the suspects and the seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities to initiate legal proceedings against them.
