As our friend the State of Kuwait is about to celebrate its 61st National day, it is wonderful for us to share the joy of this occasion with Kuwaiti friends.On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in the State of Kuwait, I extend my warm congratulations to Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Ahmed Al-Sabah and the brotherly people of Kuwait.
The tremendous achievements Kuwait has made in the past years are truly admirable and laudable. In particular, under the brilliant leadership of H H Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Ahmed Al-Sabah, Kuwait has taken effective measures to bring COVID-19 under control, with social activities and everyday life largely returning to normal.
Its successful efforts to mediate in the Gulf crisis have played a positive part in maintaining peace and stability of the Gulf region. What’s more, Kuwait has continued to play a leading role in humanitarianism by giving generous donations to the World Health Organization and for the COVAX initiative to assist developing countries with their COVID-19 response.
Looking ahead, Kuwait enjoys broad and promising prospects in its future development. As Kuwait’s strategic partner, China stands ready to work hard with Kuwait to better synergize our development strategies and deepen bilateral cooperation on various fronts, in a bid to uplift our strategic partnership to new heights. May Kuwait shines as an even brighter pearl. May China and Kuwait enjoy everlasting friendship.
