The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) said bank transfers and cash deposits into the account of the Social Welfare Homes Charity Fund does not need prior consent from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Al-Rai quoting CBK sources told the local banks that they cannot deposit cash into the account charity societies and organizations without a prior written approval from the Social Affairs Ministry but the ‘Fund’ is not subjected to this requirement, because it is covered by the Law of Clubs and Benefit Societies so “there is no need to obtain prior approval before accepting any cash deposits to the Fund’s account.”
