Changing time is harmful to health

An American researcher confirmed that changing the time twice a year could have serious effects on human health.

Sleep researcher at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, Phyllis Zee, stated that just one hour can change the amount of sleep a person gets, as well as its quality, warning that irregular sleep may affect people’s ability to multitask and maintain sleep. Their balance, which makes them more vulnerable to accidents.

Molly Hart, a spokeswoman for a car company, warned that there may be a slight increase in accidents on the roads after the clock change, asking drivers to pay attention while driving as it will get dark early.

On the fifth of this month, American states began working on winter time, which continues until the tenth of March.

Starting this week, when many employees in the United States finish work, the sun will have set, making them drive home in the dark.

Some members of Congress are pushing to end the clock change and make daylight saving time permanent for economic reasons.
