The Central Bank of Kuwait has denied what was circulated regarding the existence of a check issued and drawn on it, on July 26, 2013, with a value of 350 million dinars, Arabic daily Al Qabas reported.
The bank said in a tweet on the social networking site “Twitter” that the image of the check displayed on one of the foreign channels, and the data it contained, did not match the bank’s records.
The bank stressed the need to investigate accuracy in the dissemination and circulation of information, explaining that the re-circulation and publication of this data exposes its owner to legal accountability.
