Catholic church sends deepest condolences on passing of HH Amir

His Excellency Bishop Paul Hinder, OFM Cap., Apostolic Administrator of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and the Apostolic Vicar of the UAE, Oman and Yemen, in the name of the Catholic Church in the Arabian Peninsula, hearing the sad news of the demise of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, expresses his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late His Highness, the people of Kuwait and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser AIMohammad Al-Ahamed AI-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.

“May the peaceful and merciful God grant the loving Father of Kuwait and joyful friend of all people and nations his peace.”

Our Catholic communities continue to pray in our churches for the repose of the soul of His Highness. The Catholic Church deeply revered and valued His Highness the Amir’s openness, respect, protection and cordial relationship. His Highness’ able leadership and friendship promoted regional stability, unity and prosperity. We greatly treasure His Highness’ legacy and remain committed in our loyal service to the State of Kuwait.

His Highness will be remembered as a true and deeply religious brother, friend and fatherly leader.
