Cabinet cancels decision to hold recreational activities in Wafra and Abdali

The Council of Ministers has decided to cancel its decision to establish recreational activities in the Wafra and Abdali agricultural areas.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Wael Al-Asousi, said in a letter he addressed to the concerned authorities that the Cabinet in its meeting held on July 4, 2022, was briefed on the recommendation contained in the minutes of the meeting of the ministerial committee supervising the follow-up to the implementation of major development projects, which discussed the project of recreational activities in the Wafra and Abdali agricultural areas in all its aspects, reports a local Arabic daily.

He added that the following was discussed:

• Contradiction to the local laws and the fourth structural plan of the State of Kuwait

• Disruption of the food security system in the State of Kuwait

Al-Asousi indicated that the Council of Ministers issued a decision to cancel its decision to assign the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs to quickly complete coordination with the relevant authorities, to develop joint perceptions that would establish some recreational activities and events in the Wafra and Abdali areas in the short and long term
