BSK marks Bunta Sammilana 2019

Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK), a non-profit Socio-Cultural organization formed to promote and preserve Bunts culture and history, celebrated Bunta Sammilana 2019 at the Wafra Chalet on Friday, 5 April.

A large gathering of around 150 plus Bunts families and well-wishers attended the event. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the BSK President Guruprasad Hegde, managing committee members, and past BSK presidents.

Bunts Sammilana resembled a carnival atmosphere with lively entertainment including a photo booth, face painting and mehndi for kids and adults, a games stall in addition to a feast of typical Mangalorean food, which was savored by the members.

There were also fun team games like Treasure Hunt, which thrilled the members. One of the attractions of the Carnival included a mob dance by BSK members, creatively choreographed by Laxmi Hegde, Sheethal Malli, Deepti and Soumya. Overall supervision and final choreography of the mob dance was executed by BSK secretary Dhiraj Shetty.

Furthermore, kids of different age group showed off their dance talents with foot-tapping music by DJ Rathan Rai. Sports Secretary Mayuresh Shetty and his sub-committee members organized sports for kids and adult couple games.

A delicious lunch was organized and sponsored by one of the leading catering services in Kuwait, Oriental Restaurant. The event was hosted by in-house BSK’s energetic, experienced and professional Manoj Shetty. BSK extends their heartfelt gratitude to Gokul Bhat for sponsoring Bus transportation service to their members.

Prizes were distributed to the team and games. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by General Secretary Dhiraj Shetty. The event led by President Guruprasad Hegde and his Managing Team along with heartwarming support by all sub-committee members concluded with success.
