Bedoun to replace expatriates in private sector companies

The Public Authority for Manpower, on May 29, will launch the ‘Tayseer’ platform to recruit illegal residents (bedoun) in the private sector to replace expatriate workers.

A local Arabic daily quoting, the Director-General of the authority, Ahmed Al-Mousa, said in a press statement today, that the launch of the platform to register bedoun job seekers in the private sector comes in coordination with the Central Agency for Addressing the Situation of Illegal Residents.

Al-Mousa added the platform is an institutional mechanism to regulate the participation of illegal residents in the labor market in a more positive and effective manner to create more job opportunities for them.

He added, the aim is to replace the expatriate workers with bedoun in order to preserve the demographic structure, protect the rights of bedoun under the umbrella of the law, and provide them with adequate benefit through these opportunities, in line with their qualifications.

Al-Mousa thanked the private sector companies for their cooperation in providing these suitable job opportunities, and called for more cooperation with various fields of the private sector to provide more opportunities in all disciplines.
