Bangladesh restricts passengers from Kuwait, Italy, South Korea and Japan

In a bid to control the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Bangladesh has restricted entry of people from four countries Kuwait, Italy, South Korea and Japan without the virus-free medical certificates reports Dhaka Tribune.

Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Professor Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora said in a press conference on Wednesday, that Passengers from these four countries – Italy, South Korea, Japan, and Kuwait cannot enter Bangladesh without Coronavirus-free medical certificates. They can come to Bangladesh by applying visas to Bangladeshi embassies in their respective countries.

Describing the COVID-19 situation in Bangladesh, Sabrina said, “So far, four people have come to us (IEDCR) on their own will. We examined samples of 102 suspected people, including four on March 2, and another four still remain under observation. But none has been detected with Coronavirus”.
