Bachelors violating housing law in Fahaheel face eviction

The Kuwait Municipality’s continuous campaigns against bachelors living in private housing have expanded to the Fahaheel area. Alrai Media reported that the campaign is part of an effort to monitor violations of bachelors’ private housing areas in Ahmadi Governorate. The campaign resumed on Wednesday in Fahaheel, with warnings issued to cut off power to housing that has been monitored and whose owners have not responded to evict the occupants immediately.

The campaign, headed by head of the emergency and rapid intervention team at the Ahmadi Municipality branch, Khaled Al-Fadhli, was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Electricity, the Public Authority for Manpower, the Environment Public Authority, and the Ministry of Interior. Al-Fadhli said that the campaign was conducted under the directives of the director of the municipality, Acting Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous. The team visited areas in Fahaheel where violations of bachelors’ housing had been reported. A committee was formed to monitor bachelors’ violations last May, and the team has been conducting field tours for the past two weeks. Yesterday, the team visited seven housing plots in Fahaheel where there have been complaints and reports about bachelors’ housing in model and private housing.
