Authorities seize drugs worth 3 million dinars and weapons in Jahra

The General Administration of Narcotics Control foiled the attempt of two persons to inject a huge amount of narcotics that has an estimated market value of more than KD 3 million. In addition, a kilo of larica powder was seized in a house that had turned into a warehouse for narcotic drugs in Jahra. Four firearms, including a machine gun and ammunition without a license, were found in possession of the suspects, including a sum of money that the two suspects admitted was the proceeds of selling those drugs in the country.

Authorities received information about smuggling large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances into the country with the intention of trafficking and bypassing the ports, and accordingly, investigations were intensified, through which the identity of one of the accused was identified, an Arab daily reported. After a nod from the Public Prosecution, the suspect was arrested and confessed to having an accessory.

Upon searching the residence of the first suspect, a room was discovered used as storage containing more than a ton of larica tablets, 35 kilos of chemical, 18 kilos of shabu, two kilos of hashish, one kilo of larica powder and three kilos of larica powder, marijuana, 2000 tablets, and four firearms. Once confronted, the suspects confessed to owning the drugs which were intended for trafficking.
