On the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day and the anniversary of Kuwait’s liberation I am honored and pleased to extend on behalf of the Government of Austria, the Embassy and the Austrian people as well as on my own behalf to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait our most sincere and heartiest congratulations.
On March 12, 1962, 60 years ago, the Kuwait and Austria entered into formal diplomatic ties that have led to a strong bilateral cooperation based on common principles, international norms and mutual understanding, and formed into a lasting friendship between our countries and our peoples.
I am confident that our excellent relations will be further consolidated and expanded in the coming year, when the whole world and our two countries will have the possibility and the task to refocus on our economic and social development after two years having battled and coped with the Covid pandemics.
I wish the people and the State of Kuwait further progress and prosperity in stability and lasting peace and I may wish all readers pleasant holidays.
