Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Gheit mourned on Tuesday the passing way of His Highness Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, describing him as a “unique Arab leader.”
Abul Gheit in a statement said the Arab world has lost an iconic leader who was known for his wisdom “and commitment to dialogue as a mean to solve thorny problems.” He extended condolences for the Kuwaiti people for the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad. Abul Gheit said the UN’s Humanitarian Leader title of His Highness the Amir was well-deserved. He ordered the flag to be flown at half-mast for three days.
