The Council of Ministers has approved the promotion of Major-General Anwar Al-Barjas to the rank of Lieutenant-General and his appointment as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.
The former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmed Al-Mansour had issued a ministerial decision on January 20 assigning the Assistant Undersecretary for Residence Affairs Major-General Anwar Al-Barjas to perform the duties of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, succeeding the retired first lieutenant general Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf, whose services expired legally on the same day.
Informed sources told Al-Qabas that Lieutenant-General Al-Barjas will end his legal service at the Ministry of Interior in October 2023.
