A number of ambassadors expressed their deepest congratulations to the leadership, government and people of Kuwait on the occasion of the new Gregorian year, wishing progress, prosperity and well-being for Kuwait, and for goodness and peace to spread throughout the world in the new year.
Antigua and Barbuda
Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda H.E. Mohammed Al-Zoubi extended his sincere congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad and all the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of the New Year, wishing it to be a safe and happy year for them. He expressed hope that bilateral relations between his country and Kuwait will develop during 2024 in all political, economic and cultural fields, stressing that there are many opportunities available to investors in his country, and as we begin a new year with new hope, I wish everyone health, success and happiness.”
Britain
British Ambassador H.E. Belinda Lewis, said Year 2024 has begun on a sad note, as we continue to mourn the death of His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad. She added, “I wish everyone in Kuwait a happy New Year. The next 12 months will be a busy and important period for the special and historic partnership between the United Kingdom and Kuwait, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, and I am confident that our cooperation will be further strengthened during the 125th year of official diplomatic relations between our two countries.”
Bulgaria
Bulgarian Ambassador H.E. Dimitar Dimitrov said: “With the advent of the new Gregorian year, we are filled with hope that it will be a year in which peace, stability and security prevail. We wish the State of Kuwait and its friendly people more progress, prosperity and development, and for the leader of its path, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, good health and wellness, success and progress in serving his people and his country. China
Chinese Ambassador H.E. Zhang Jianwei, said, “As the year 2024 dawns, and on my own behalf and on behalf of the employees of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, I extend to the leadership, government and people of friendly Kuwait my warmest congratulations and best wishes. In 2023, Chinese-Kuwaiti relations witnessed steady progress under the auspices of the leaders of the two countries, especially with the successful visit of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, to China.
In the new year, the Chinese embassy will make joint efforts with all Kuwaiti friends to implement important agreements and cooperation documents between the two countries to raise our strategic partnership relations to a higher level, in the interest of the two peoples.”

Ambassador H.E.
