On the occasion of the inauguration of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad as the seventeenth Amir of Kuwait, I would like to convey my warmest heartfelt congratulations from the Austrian Federal President, the government of Austria, and from me personally. We wish His Highness all success in continuing the steady path that led Kuwait to defend the freedoms, interests and wealth of the Kuwaiti people in the face of all the challenges that the region and the world are currently facing. Austria and Kuwait established diplomatic relations 58 years ago, and we look forward to continuing this fruitful cooperation and further deepening the friendly bilateral relations between our countries.
