Al-Razi to open the first orthopedic clinic in the Middle East

Orthopedic consultant at the Al-Razi Hospital, Dr. Najla Al-Sari was recently quoted as saying the hospital will soon open the joint softness clinic in the hospital, believed to be the first in the Middle East.

Al-Sari told a local Arabic daily that joint softness disease is a symptom associated with many diseases related to connective cell disorders, which is a major cause of bone injuries and diseases.

Therefore, precautions and rehabilitation for bone diseases and injuries for patients with soft joints are completely different to reach the best results and avoid complications and recurrence of injuries.

She indicated that the clinic was opened in the outpatient and specialized clinics building at Al-Razi Orthopedic Hospital, with the support of the hospital director, Dr. Mona Abdel Samad, who believes in empowering young people.

She explained that the clinic uses the latest follow-up methods with the support of the Kuwait Physiotherapy Association and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, where a specialized application is used that can be downloaded by patients on their smartphones after treatment methods and special instructions are designed for each patient.

It is worth noting that Dr Al-Sari holds a PhD in rehabilitation of orthopedic diseases and rheumatology, with a specialization in joint flexibility.

She is a researcher in the field of bones and joint flexibility and an innovator of methods for diagnosing joint flexibility using advanced sonar devices with the support of the KFAS.

Dr Al-Sari has published research papers on joint flexibility in many international journals and conferences, the latest of which was in the Italian capital, Rome.

She specializes in 3D motion analysis through the use of high-resolution devices designed from 12 cameras and sensors, where she examined patients at the Natural Medicine Hospital to obtain a detailed report of the cause of gait impairment and thus guide a successful treatment plan.
