Al-Rashidi murder case suspect remanded to police custody for another month

As investigations continue in the murder Mubarak Al-Rashidi the Detention Renewal Judge ordered further detention of the accused for a month.

The Public Prosecution has charged the accused with premeditated murder, while the Ministry of Interior continues to collect information in this case that has shocked the public since the corpse of the victim was found in Salmi after he went missing in Kabad, reports Al-Qabas daily.

An informed source said the accused has denied the accusations filed against him during the prosecution’s investigations, saying: “I did not kill.”

The source added, so far only one defendant is being interrogated who is believed to be the main suspect, whom the sentences renewal judge decided to imprison him for a month, pending detailed investigations from the Egyptian, who is a witness to the murder. A Kuwaiti security delegation from the Ministry of Interior is in Egypt to interrogate the witness.

The source pointed out that other suspects may be brought in for interrogatino after the completion of the investigations and the collection of information.

The Interior Ministry had announced a few days ago that “based on instructions from the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid to continue the search for the missing Mubarak Al-Rashidi, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department were able to decipher the codes after the remains of the victim were found Salmi, after a continuous and dedicated effort the security authorities.
