The Public Prosecution and other concerned authorities are working on two tracks how to recover the money embezzled by the former fugitive late Fahd Al-Raja’an, Director General of the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS).
The sources indicated the defense lawyer representing legal heirs of Al-Raja’an has submitted an offer to the Public Prosecution Office to settle the issue of embezzlement, and have shown their desire to return to the country.
The sources stated that the Public Prosecution demanded that the heirs of Al-Raja’an to honor the verdicts issued against the late Raja’an by the Kuwaiti courts, in addition to the judgments issued by the courts in London.’
The sources added, the process of negotiation in this aspect is still in its infancy, indicating that if the heirs pay all the money, their request will be considered.
