The Director of the Aid Department at the Al-Najat Charitable Society, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, announced 382 families (2,011 people) benefitted from the ‘Give Good News’ project as the society paid house rents of these families for 992 months.
Al-Khalidi thanked the generous donors who contributed to the project, calling it a model of social solidarity, reports Al-Anba daily.
Speaking on the issue of providing aid, he said, “We receive requests for assistance submitted to us from needy families, and we are careful to complete the supporting documents and papers to ensure the family’s need for assistance.
“Then we carefully examine the requests and provide assistance to deserving families, by issuing a check in the name of the owner (head of the family) of the house in which they live.
