As part of the process to implement the law, eliminate violations and abuses, and combat violators of laws and regulations, including inspectors who do not adhere to their tasks the Director-General of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng Ahmed Al-Manfouhi, has issued a decision assigning the Building Violations Follow-up Committee to monitor the violating properties, and to refer the employee who failed to do his work for investigation.
A local Arabic daily has learned the decision of Al-Manfouhi demands the following tasks:
— Conducting field tours in all governorates, whether through members of the committee, or accompanied by employees of the relevant departments and emergency teams used to monitor all real estate laden with existing and under construction violations.
— Finding out about the legal measures taken by the Municipality’s employees regarding the violating real estate, each within the scope of his work.
— A statement of the shortcomings and negligence in taking legal measures by municipality employees, if any, and the extent to which the concerned departments are committed to the applicable legal controls, circulars and administrative instructions.
— The right to request that the employee who has failed to carry out his duties to be referred for investigation without regard to his supervisory job title.
