Al-Fawzan sees 40% drop in airline ticket prices

Director-General of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Yousef Al-Fawzan said the cost of airline tickets to and from all destinations from the beginning of this month has dropped to between 30 and 40 percent, as a result of the decisions of the Council of Ministers to reopen Kuwait International Airport with its full capacity.

Al-Fawzan told Al-Jarida the airport will gradually begin operations of regular commercial flights for all airlines, in the near future based on the needs of travelers and link the operations to the largest global airport network.

He indicated that “Civil Aviation” agreed to all the winter flight schedules, which were submitted by the carriers, in order to ensure the smooth running of traffic, in light of the gradual, upward operation of air navigation, after the Corona pandemic, which halted navigation for about 18 months.
