Municipal Council member Eng. Alia Al-Farsi said she submitted a proposal that cleaning workers will be within the authority of the Ministry of Municipality, so that they are not hired through special contracts, stressing that there is an effort to make the work of collecting, transporting waste and sweeping roads within the tasks of the cleaning employee in the municipality.
Al-Farsi added that she hopes that the proposal will be taken seriously because of its benefits in cleaning bids, and therefore this proposal will be reflected in the new cleaning contracts and the new regulation, provided that the idea is implemented in Kuwait City first, reports Al-Jarida daily.
