Al-Fares discusses a strategy for Kuwaitization of the oil sector

The Minister of Oil and Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Muhammad Al-Faris discusses strategy for Kuwaitization of the oil sector in government institutions and other companies through an ambitious strategy, Al Jarida reported.

Al-Fares told the daily that the Ministry of Oil has made great strides in giving priority to employment for national cadres, whether through appointments in the engineering, technical or administrative sectors,  pointing out that the Kuwaitization plan for the sector depends on the policy of attracting these cadres from graduates of engineering and technical and administrative fields.

He added that the oil sector is constantly working on narrowing vacancies in jobs, with serious efforts to appoint citizens in them, stressing that the sector is going through a period of great recovery in light of new projects, especially “environmental fuel”, which is one of the most important global projects and a source of pride for the State of Kuwait, as it supports the policy of Production and realization of the “New Kuwait 2035” vision.

On the other hand, while he revealed that the final report on the results of admission to Kuwait University will be on his table today after being approved by the councils of the university and public universities, Al-Fares said that he directed the absorption of the largest number of high school graduates at the university and the external and internal scholarships, indicating that the admission plan accommodates more than 10 thousand students.
