Al-Dabbous emphasizes need to enforce strict control procedures pertaining to advertising regulations

The Director General of the Municipality, Eng. Saud Al-Dabbous, has issued instructions to all control units to take the legal procedures followed regarding advertisements affixed to electricity poles, road signs, traffic lights and trees.

Al-Dabbous emphasized the need to enforce strict control procedures pertaining to advertising regulations, which prohibit the display of any advertisement without obtaining proper authorization from the municipality and approval from other competent authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.

He stated that the teams responsible for monitoring will issue a detailed report for any violator who benefits from unauthorized advertising. Furthermore, legal procedures will be followed to hold the individuals involved accountable for the violations.

Al-Dabbous pointed out that some individuals have been observed pasting prohibited advertisements, which include personal information like the advertiser’s name and phone number. These actions and methods are in direct violation of Article 9 of the regulations, which strictly prohibit setting up such advertisements without the necessary license.

In addition, Al-Dabbous directed all supervisory positions involved in the matter to diligently enforce the circular. They are instructed to collaborate with relevant authorities and take all legal measures against individuals who display negligence to evade legal consequences.
